Special Event Insurance
Weddings, quinceañeras, reunions, and milestone parties. One short policy protects your big day, and often it is exactly what the venue requires.
Special Event Insurance in New Mexico and West Texas
You have put months of planning and real money into your big day. Special event insurance protects that investment, and everyone at it, from the things you cannot control. If a guest is injured, the venue is damaged, or a covered problem forces you to cancel, the right policy keeps a single mishap from turning a celebration into a financial loss.
It also solves a very practical problem: most venues around here will not let you through the door without proof of event liability coverage, often with the venue named on the policy. As a local independent agency, we make that easy, matching the coverage to your event, whether it is a wedding, a quinceañera, a family reunion, or a graduation party, so you can focus on the celebration instead of the paperwork.

What Special Event Insurance Covers
A single policy can bring together the two things that matter most: protecting your guests and protecting your investment.
Event Liability
Pays if a guest is injured or the venue is damaged during your event, along with your legal defense. This is the coverage most venues require before they will let you book the space.
Host Liquor Liability
If alcohol is served at your event, you can be held responsible when an intoxicated guest causes injury or damage. Host liquor coverage protects you from those claims, which a home policy often will not.
Cancellation and Postponement
Reimburses the deposits and non-refundable costs you would lose if a covered problem, like severe weather, a sudden illness, or a no-show caterer or photographer, forces you to cancel or move the date.
Add-Ons for the Big Day
Optional coverage can extend to wedding gifts, the gown and tuxedos, rented furniture and equipment, and more, so the details you invested in are protected too.
What to know before you book your venue
Start with the venue contract. Many banquet halls, churches, and event spaces require a certificate of insurance with a set liability limit before your date is confirmed, and they often ask to be added to your policy as an additional insured. We handle that certificate for you, so you can check it off the venue's list without the stress. Keep in mind that a venue's own insurance protects the venue, not you, which is why hosts need their own coverage.
If you are hosting at home, do not assume your homeowners policy has you covered. It offers only limited liability for a large gathering and may not respond the way an event policy does, especially once alcohol is involved. For bigger celebrations, many hosts also carry a personal umbrella policy for an added layer of protection over their assets.
Special event insurance is not just for weddings. We write it for quinceañeras, anniversary parties, family and class reunions, graduation celebrations, fundraisers, and just about any large gathering where you are on the hook if something goes wrong. Whatever you are planning, we will help you figure out the right coverage and limits for the size and style of your event.
The good news is that event coverage is short-term and surprisingly affordable, and it can usually be arranged quickly, though booking a few weeks ahead gives you the most flexibility.
